Paint Pizazz for Dollar Store Plastic Leaves

I am constantly amazed at what dollar stores carry now. Too much good stuff!
Ok, some of it can look a little . . . cheap. Like it only cost a dollar, you know?
Like these plastic leaves. Cute but pretty shiny. And plastic-y.
I’ve never met a fall leaf I didn’t like so I went to my spray paint arsenal and gave them a little 'pizazz'.

I'm not sure about the safety of putting food in these since they are painted with spray paint. I believe that the paint should advise if they are food safe. If they aren't, I know you can purchase food safe paint to put a final coat(s) on those beautiful serving pieces! Love these!! Can't wait to go get these so I can do them for Fall! Thank you!!!

Colleen Jorgensen on Jul 09, 2017Thanks for the advice. We didn't put food in them, just acorns and other decor. :)
