Dio De Los Muertos Decor

The Mexican holiday 'Day of the Dead' coincides with Halloween, and the decor elements lend themselves to a fresh new interpretation - and this is IT! The visual designers at a famous nursery and home store near me created these awesome props for their displays - by painting Dio de Los Muertos designs on classical statuary busts. The juxtaposition of the two together is mind-blowing, and the execution is stellar.
It takes a lot to impress me when it comes to retail display (I'm a 35+ year veteran designer & stylist) and this team ALWAYS hits the mark. More photos and some DIY ideas on my HOMEWARDfound blog!
[ Images are mine; design and execution is by the visual merchandising team at Roger's Gardens in Newport Beach, CA ]

Your artwork is beautiful. Is that George Washington with a paint job? LOL! Very creative, if not a wee bit creepy!

@Deb@homewardFOUNDdecor Thank you so much for sharing that link with me. What a beautiful store! I worked for a green house for six years, brings back many memories. I occasionally get to California to visit relatives, will put it on my list places not to be missed!
