This pond build in Lancaster, PA included removing an existing pond and bringing in fill dirt to fill in the area around and under the new pond leaving an area to install an 11′x16′pond, planting around the pond, a small 5′x10′ natural flagstone patio and fresh mulch around the pond.

Very pretty.I just started a pond at my house too.Still putting in plantings and landscaping.No fish yet.Yours looks great!
