Annie Sloan Chalk Paint Chair Makeover

Easy
The hubby and I have been going back and forth about what to do with the beautiful but damaged chairs we inherited, made by his grandfather. They got one makeover a few months ago but I just didn't love it. Its better to ask forgiveness than permission, right? One day while the hubs was at work I went for it! What do you think? Also check out my dining room progress.
The final chairs after stenciled and protected.
I mixed Barcelona Orange with a touch of Emperor’s Silk (red) ASCP and applied using pouncers with an up and down motion, cleaning the stencil between applications.
Then, once it was all dry, I chose to use a MinWax Polycrylic to seal and protect just the painted parts. Previously, I used Annie Sloan Soft Wax, but the Polycrylic spray paint is quicker to apply and doesn’t yellow with application.
The chairs along with our DIY Pottery Barn Knock Off Farmhouse Table.
The orange in the chairs really pulls out the colors in the Plastic Plate wall!
