You know those decadent pantries you see online, where someone's placed an old door in front of a little closet or room, creating this dream like pantry from days gone by?
I want THAT.
Sadly, my house doesn't allow for that.
But I still wanted to create that feeling... so I did the next best thing.
Teaming up 3 fence boards, some pipe fittings, random hooks, and a cool stencil, this super easy pantry shelf was the instant result!
But don't let the sign fool you. It's made with a stencil, so you can easily make it too!
The stencil is also designed to fit onto most door sizes, so if you have THAT door I wish I had...
...well, I'm jealous. :)

If industrial farmhouse is your thing, this easy to make shelf will offer that aesthetic instantly!
How to make the shelf:
4. Stencil a design on the middle plank if desired.
5. Once paint has dried, lightly sand to achieve a distressed look.
6. Screw on the pipe fittings, then add the hooks.
How fun is this?! Wouldn't this shelf also make a decadent coffee station area? Yes please!
Just for more pantry fun, I teamed up an old cupboard and rustic ladder as a pot holder for some pantry storage ideas.
Love old signs?
Enjoyed the project?

Frequently asked questions
Have a question about this project?
Great decor...and functional! what did u use to join bottom pieces of wood?
Do you have a detailed list of the pipe fittings you used? The proportions are great and would love to know the lengths of the fittings and size of your boards.
This will be perfection over a narrow built in bar I’m finishing! Thanks!
