Mirror frame sitting in store room like a waste. Wanna put it to use.

The original mirror was broken a long time ago. I am not sure whether I wanna replace the mirror or just let it be. I'm thinking to put it up the wall behind my flat screen tv. But as you can see, it's pretty big. Is there any ideas on what to do with it?

O' she's a beauty ! Personally , I'd glaze her to give her some depth in all those swirls , curls & shadow spots . Prehaps , replace the mirror with one that has an adged appearance or buy one and scratch the back at differant depths and strokes ........otherwise , a beauty for a black & white matte photograph .?? Good Luck !

Make a white board/dry erase board for your room, craft room or dress up your kitchen! I would also paint that bright pink or turquoise! just sayin...

I would make a wall clock out of it and high light the curves as Seabreezn suggested so it has depth. It is so elegant I couldn't let it not shine. It is beautiful carving and if it is just stained, don't add paint to cover up the beauty.
  • agreed on the turquoise paint! I have found a couple of smaller brass ones and hit them with turquoise then gave a little dimension/antique look on top with some brown highlights, pretty fabulous!

Chalk boards are fun, or you could frame burlap and stencil a favorite quote, saying, or photo in it. Love that frame. Glad you want to put it to use again!

I made a plain frame into a jewelry holder by replacing the picture with a piece of needlepoint canvas. You could paint the canvas, like I did, or leave it white, which would look more elegant in a beautiful frame like this! Then simply add plain curtain hooks to hang necklaces and bracelets and hook 'shepherd hook' type earrings directly into the mesh. I would leave the frames finish as is- beautiful!

This is a beautiful frame. I would replace the mirror. But if you want to paint and replace the mirror, choose a color that would copliment with your decor. Don't go too fancy; the frame is fancy enough by itself.

This is a beautiful natural frame, I would replace the mirror and leave it alone. Enjoy the beauty of the original wood.
