The Difference Between Open Pollinated Seeds, Hybrids and GMOs

Today, seeds are bred in only one of three very different ways: 1) in an open pollinated environment, 2) through a hybrid cross, and 3) through genetic modification. Each is very, very different, and genetic engineering is completely unlike any form of seed breeding ever done before. Let’s look at each, one at a time.
