I got my first Cutting Edge Stencil with the word LOVE on it and decided to use it on an old bench that I had in storage.
This is the bench when I pulled it out of my storage shed, wooden legs, plastic seat cover - real ugly!
I took the bench apart, the top was in good shape considering that it is old.
Sanded and painted the wood part of the bench with red chalk paint.
I had some burlap bags in storage and thought it would be perfect for the stencil part of the project! I washed the bag, cut it up to fit the top, and ironed out the wrinkles.
I used my staple gun to put on the new burlap seat top.
I loved the burlap look and the fact that the burlap is old, went perfect with the bench and the look I was trying to achieve.
Here's my Cutting Edge stencil - it fit perfectly on the new burlap seat!
The Cutting Edge stencil was so easy to use, it is heavy plastic, which made the application process very easy!
I added some gold glitter paint to the stencil design.
I am very happy with the results - it is now a fun bench!
Here is another view of the bench!
