360 Sod (Donna Dixson) on Nov 02, 2013Concrete blocks are perfectly fine for a raised garden bed. i am not sure what you are asking about the plastic though. Is that for over the top of the bed as a greenhouse type thing or over the ground before the soil? Over the top sure, just be sure to have a way to easily remove as your plants get bigger or it gets too hot on them. You will need to vent it in someway. On the bottom, not a good idea. Your water will pool and roots will rot.Helpful Reply

JP S on Nov 02, 2013I have had a concrete block raised garden bed.I have had it for 10yrs,and it is great . I plant herbs and flowers in the holes.I put leaves etc.in the fall. I only use organic materials.Helpful Reply
