3 bathroom outlets do not work----why?

I have a master bath, hall bath, and a downstairs bath where all of the outlets do not work. There is not a reset button on the upstairs baths but I do have one downstairs. The reset button does not work anymore. Any suggestions besides the obvious?

Faye...the first question-how old are the Ground Fault receptacle in the downstairs bathroom? and if the reset button does not work, it is time to replace it. Depending on the age of your home, that GFCI replacement may solve your problems. Let us know. Gary

Thanks Gary. The house is only 5 years old. I'll have that checked. I'm hoping it's that "simple".

At 5 years old, you should have a dedicated circuit and GFCI in each bathroom. If you continue to have a problem, I will be in the Marietta area for a while tomorrow. Let me know if need any help....I'm cheap Gary.....landlights@gmail.com

The ground fault circuit breaker in your breaker box may be faulty. We had a problem when we built our home. The builder had gotten a batch of defective GFI breakers. Once they replaced them with new ones, we stopped having problems. They also had a batch of smoke detectors that were defective and went off several times a day (AND NIGHT!) That was the proverbial "rude awakening" for sure!!
