As some of you may know I had a table fail a few weeks ago and it turned out to be my favorite ever table when I painted it with a “Parisian” design.
Well, my husband and I decided we liked it so much that when a friend of mine gave me an old small display table I decided to do a real clock to compliment the table.
The clock movement and hands have been ordered online as I could not find what I wanted where I live. As soon as they arrive, the clock will have its centre hole drilled (it is currently marked by a brown dot) and the mechanisms will be attached.
I just could not wait to show you, I love it so much!

I started out figuring what I would do with the table components and decided to make 1) a clock, 2) two short clothing rods to go across (22inches) , my large art room closet, one over the other and three the round glass would temporarily protect a small table I have a tabletop humidifier on.
Then I painted the table top, which is made of some sort f compressed wood a cream colour to match the table I had done.
Next I painted my first background design in a gold toned light brown.
I whitewashed the table top with a mixture of the cream coloured paint and water over the whole thing, to make it act as a background as opposed to a focal point
Then, the start of roses and the Eiffel tower
More roses and leaves and then, white washed the Eiffel tower.
The clocks rings and hour lines were added.
The clock.. awaiting the hands...
Some background details before being finished and white washed... blown up and blurry!
And I am thrilled that it keeps time perfectly!
