My master bedroom has one of those 1980's style display ledges (85" long x 24" deep) above the walk-in closet.

Hudson Designs on Apr 09, 2011My thoughts, Nice mock up BTY! Maybe trim in a flat stock of 1/4 x 2"W. Low profile. I could see the top piece matching wall color to define the ceiling line, But then all the trim would need to be wall color. What if you built the frame from 1x4 And set in Faux glass panels. Then it would appear to be windows. It would also reflex a bit of light and brighten the area. In other words I like the design as is, I would just change out the panels for mirrors or faux glass. It would give you a transom affect.Helpful Reply
