Holiday Place Cards Using Corks

Place cards are certainly not essential to a happy holiday! BUT, they do make your family & guests feel extra special and take your table setting to a very festive level. My little cork place cards are so easy to make, and if I do say so myself, lovely & sweet! Hope you agree…Let me show you how you can make a set of these in a flash…Shall we open a bottle of wine?…just kidding!
Simple cork place cards. You can make these in a few minutes…savor the wine, but make these in a flash!
Start with a cork. You will also need a long nail, a hammer, a tiny bit of greenery, a small tag & some ribbon or twine.
You will insert the nailing into the cork & give it a good bang with the hammer. You can use the hole already there from the corkscrew. You want to deepen & widen the hole just a bit.
Once the nail is in wiggle it around a bit to enlarge the hole.
Insert the little bouquet of greens into the hole. I used boxwood which has nice firm stems.
I used red bakers twine to attach the tag.
I think these are really sweet. Hope you agree and that you have a very happy Holiday!
