Tip: Hiding Things in a Yarn Basket

by Sandra Allen
When I lived in Salem OR, I didn't live in the best neighborhood. I wanted things to be as safe as I could make them and still get out of my apt. quickly with my important things with me, should there be a fire or other situation I had to deal with. This meant keeping them together but hidden from anyone who might break in. This is just one of the things I came up with.

Thanks. You gotta love confusing the crooks of the world. But really, it was more for if I had to leave in a moments notice than security.

After a recent, violent home invasion near us, it dawned on everyone....they ignore children's rooms. They beat up the parents, but the little boy slept right through it. I always thought you could bolt something slender to the underside of a bed or behind a headboard, too.

Oh that is just horrible. I am glad he was safe. I think in that case, off the premises would be safer. Despicable people know we would do anything to protect our kids. This tip is pretty much for people who just want to grab and go if they are home. If not, the information would be safer if several people you trust have the copies. I sure hope they are okay.
