Does anyone have a good recipe for ant killer?

RICE. Grab handfuls of rice & sprinkle the whole yard (garden included) like it's raining. OR get a grass seeder (it looks like a push mower but for grass seeds) & run it over the whole yard with rice in it. The ants will eat the rice & it will kill them. They will take the rice to the Queen & feed her & she will die too. You will havta repeat after it rains. If you see any ant mounds, be generous with the rice over the tops of them & take a stick & stir up the mound just a bit to get their attention. It usually works. GOOD LUCK! :)
Put used coffee grounds in the nests. For long term, use nematodes. They are safe for veggies, animals and beneficial insects, but it takes a couple of weeks to kick in.
Idk these brands:

Ant nest go as deep as 15 feet. Closing off one mound just makes them build a new door. Not sure about the rice but it would be worth a try. Lowes and home depot offer a flea and ant treatment that has to be repeated several times in the warm months. We used it in our yard in Houston and it kept the ants and fleas out. Draw back its a chemical and it has to be retreated. The ants might still be in your yard, just way under ground and have a door in someone elses' yard.
Any form of talc powder with a scent. It must remain in a dry however. I used some baby powder the first time as I had a toddler and didn't want to risk her getting anything that might hurt her on her hands. The ants were coming in from outside and I most definitely wanted to use something safe.
The ants breath with the heads down mostly. The ants will not cross the powdered surface anywhere as it will suffocate them. This really does work!

Several years ago I had the problem of ants in my kitchen and large black ants and others in my yard, on my driveway, etc. We had someone come and spray around the base of our home, 2 or 3 times at intervals. We have had it done 1 or 2 times during the summers since then. I have not seen an ant in my yard since the first summer we sprayed.
borax and sugar equal amounts. make a paper funnel, load it with the ant bait put all along the foundation wall. had ants in the basement. had. haven't seen them in a year. had ants on the out side foundation wall. work great outside too.
There is a product called Tetra (?) that I have used in the kitchen under my sink when ants decide to come calling. A neighbor recommended it, and it works. Purchased at Ace Hardware. In Baltimore MD we have what we call "piss ants" which are very, very tiny and love to visit between March and August, and Tetra works well on them. Look up Tetra on the Internet or call Ace Hardware and see if Tetra makes something for the outdoors. Good luck...I know it's a pain.
I wonder why you want to get rid of the ants? We were taught at school that earthworms and ants are good for the garden, as they aeriate the soil and also move the earth around. I don't even kill them in my house! (Mind you, I don't kill spiders either, since I have fruit lies and mosquitoes all summer long)
packaged cornbread mix that says it is sweetened and put it where they are coming in if you can find it, or even on your counter in a small lid. They will take it to the mound, everyone will eat it and die, they can't digest the cornmeal, but will take it because it is sweetened. Little goes a long way.
