Stenciled Bird Dresser

This dull dresser was sitting in our garage for a long time before I decided to stencil it and give it new life!
The dresser was already white, so I didn't need to repaint it.
The edges and top were distressed with a small cordless sander. I used coarse sand paper on the top, and fine sandpaper on the edges and knobs of the piece. Don't sand it all too neatly, it should have a worn, uneven appearance.
Using a stencil and a pencil, the design was applied before painting. Flip the stencil for mirror images of the design for the best effect.
Paint over the stencil, or hand paint where necessary with a fine brush.
Seal with a clear furniture wax. More tips are in the blog post!
