I wanted to do a shiplap wall in my breakfast nook.
The goal was to do the shiplap focal wall, get rid of my china cabinet and replace it with open shelving on the shiplap wall. This is the wall before.
Another photo of the wall BEFORE
We used 1/4 inch thick plywood, cut in 3 inch strips, using tile spacers to keep them just the right about of distance apart from each other. In this photo, you can see where we marked the wall studs to put in the nails from the nail gun to put up with shiplap.
Here is a shot of the shiplap after it went up.
Primed and painted white and ready to install the open shelving.
Open shelves install, dishes placed, and artwork hung.
The completed breakfast nook - we are thrilled with the new look and have so much more space in the small room!
