Wearing gloves and a mask cut the ivy as far down as you can then use Orthos Brush-B-Gone

I used a spray specifically for poison ivy which had a "foam marker" so you can tell which leaves have been sprayed. Whatever you do, DON'T burn it, and DON'T mow it!!!!!

Don't bother cutting it back first You just risk getting poison ivy that way

Gear with rubber gloves long sleeves and pants You spray with chemical that says it's for poison ivy or tough brush Shower afterwards to get rid of any traces of chemical on you You will need at least two sprayings after you see what has died. Keep your eyes open for seedlings coming back birds also spread it

    3 cups white vinegar

    1/2 cup table salt

1 tablespoon liquid detergent or soap (I use Dawn) for stick-to-itiveness.

    Directions

    1. Mix vinegar and salt until the salt is completely dissolved. Stir in liquid dish soap, and pour into a spray bottle.
    2. Spray onto the green growing leaves of the plants.
    3. Wait a week, then repeat on any survivors. Best time to apply: during a dry spell.

Hello, hope this helps you. Try cutting the vine about 6" above where it comes out of the ground. Put some full strength white vinegar on both of the cut ends by dipping them into a cup full of white vinegar. Do this all along the length of the vines. Repeat if necessary.
