How to remove old carpet stains?

    Trying applying baking soda and pour some white vinegar on it (it will start foaming up)then blot the stains with white paper towel.

    there is this stuff called "spot shot". I think you can get it at menards most places (we get ours at menards) it gets anything out, no matter how old the stain.

    even wine stains. just spray on, blot up. some scrub may be necessary if they are really old stains, but they will come out. a carpet cleaning guy told us about this product and we use it all the time for spots on our rugs.

    I just used it on an area rug that we had stored and it had some yellow stains on it from who knows what, sprayed it on, they came out! cleaned the whole rug and now we have a nice rug under the computer desk! looks like new!

    Use 1/4 cup of white vinegar, 1 tbsp. of Dawn dish soap, and fill with water. Spray area liberally and let soak for 5-10 minutes and then proceed with blotting with a clean, dry towel until stain is removed. Some carpet stain removal products can be of great benefit for combating many types of carpet stains.
