I heated the widest part with a HOT wire loop, immersed the bottle in cool water and the top snapped off cleanly. I then took the bottom half, sanded down the sharp edge and I had a quaint drinking glass.
Fill up with water, turn upside down in flower bed by flower
See if it's worth anything and sell it on eBay? Or throw it out..I hate old clutter.
Put some black paint inside, turn bottle to coat all sides then turn upside down to dry. When dry it will look like a full bottle of pop! Then you can keep it forever like it was intended.
Add a liquor dispenser top and use for a dish soap dispenser, use as a bud vase. Cut it just below the label, sand both cut surfaces, then glue the bottom piece to the top of the neck to make a wine glass. Or melt it in a kiln to make a tray for change, or keys, etc.
Repurpose it into a flower vase. It's a great theme for outdoor patio dinners or summer picnics: http://www.hometalk.com/diy/craft/centerpieces/diy-coca-cola-placemats-centerpiece-28470334
