Why I like Hometalk.

by John Biermacher
In February of this year I was lucky enough to participate in a focus group at the Hometalk headquarters in NY City. The visit heightened my appreciation for Hometalk and I want to share some thoughts.

Hometalk has become part of my daily life. With morning coffee, I view all the postings in the daily email and look forward to participate by posting projects and getting involved in discussion. It is social media with a focus on DIY
AND
-no politics, snarky remarks, or rants.

I use it as a blog but without all the effort to set one up. After I post a project I share it on FaceBook so my friends can view it if they wish. I also can easily provide the link to my non-FB friends and family. But more importantly it also puts me in touch with a bunch of people who I would never meet yet we share common interests.

The Hometalk team is very special. They comment on projects and share some of their own ideas and projects. They sincerely appreciate your efforts with your projects but are also grateful for your participation in the forums/discussions. I believe they are the key to Hometalk's success.
