DIY Spice Rack On Wheels

There is a space between our fridge and wall. My 14 yr old son, on his own, built a spice rack on wheels that can be slid in and out of this space perfectly.
There was a space between the fridge and wall that wasn't being utilized.
My son took 4 pieces of wood and connected them together.
  • The base is connected to the 2 side pieces with brackets.
  • The top rack is connected to the 2 side pieces with screws.

He then took 2 shoelaces and tied them together for the bottom rack and 2 more for the top rack.

He the drilled on 2 small wheels on the bottom.

For good measure he screwed on a closet door knob near the top on the side.
Here it is standing up.
The spices go in nicely.
The rack slides in perfectly, fully utilizing the space.
