Impatiens come in every color and there is a newer variety called Sunpatiens that can take all day full sun and comes inthe same big variety of colors as the originals.
Hawaiian Tys come in a huge variety of sizes, shapes and colors. This red variety is a wider leaf type and can be used for spots of color.
Sometimes in design you can take species that normally would not be used together but can still look great if the combination and colors are dramatic.
Lobster claw heliconia is an exotic tropical and the plastic like flowers can last for months.
Just one Hawaiian Ty is a sea of green can add a pop for a little extra drama.
The Bromeliads on the right are highlighted with var. aztec grass. If the Aztec gets too large it can be cut down to 6 inches and grow out all over again.
Interesting palm trunks are a huge opportunity to add a nightlight. The shadows are magnificent in the evening and really sets a special feel to the garden.
