we had a flea problem last year and tried the DE and we didn't have any luck with it, doesnt mean it wont work for you. there is an ant poison called Terro, very effective. It must have a sweet smell or somethign they go right for it then take it back to their nest and it will kill them all off, or enough of them they don't com back. if all else fails you may just have to call the professionals in, if your lucky they will do the yard too.
