How do you get rid of trumpet vine.

Trumpet vine took over my back yard. Got rid of the vine on the fence but there are root suckers continuing to sprout after a couple of years. Spray with a weed/grass killer constantly, but the sprouts continue to come up.

Found this. Hope it helps: If you see any shoots regrowing, spray them immediately with Round-up. On the organic side, you can use boiling water as an herbicide to kill trumpet vines. Again, cut the vine at the ground and treat the ground 3 feet around the base with boiling water.
