My wife wanted a bench for her plants on the front porch. My neighbor tore down his old fence so I didn't pay a penny for the wood, just water-seal stain & screws. Shazam!
Cut and sand all pickets, 4x4 posts & 2x4 lumber. Then coat with Thompson's waterseal stain.
Assemble 4x4 and 2x4 pieces with 3" Spax deck screws.
Get it on the ground and reinforce with 2x4 braces using 2-1/2" Spax screws.
Fit fence panels into place using 2" Spax screws. Recoat all wood and screws to cover and raw wood caused by construction of the bench.
Put it in place on front porch....and
Ta-Da! didn't pay a penny for the lumber, Just screws and water-seal with plenty leftover for more projects.
Enjoyed the project?

Have a question about this project?
can you make me one?! very nice !
:)
Did you add more bracing to the frame between the first picture and the last? I don't see how you could have attached the fencing in that pattern, without having done so.
what is the exact measurement
