  • Personally I would not paint the inside of the microwave and I would search the manufacturers website to see what you can do about it, if anything. I have never seen a microwave rust or peel paint and I would not use it if it were me. spray paint is not food grade and most paints are not made for this type of situation and could release toxins into your food or worst yet start a fire. I would invest in a new microwave and take that one to the recycling center.

I agree with C Renee just get a new microwave too dangerous to try to paint it

I have the same problem on my microwave and I think it must have had some rough treatment by the previous home owner. I haven't found a solution so we are replacing. Mine, too, still works great. Frustrating!

yes,I understand what you mean...It works great except for the pealing...I guess I have to invest in a new one.

Agree with C Renee and Cynthia. Where your cooking raw food, no way would I want to take the chance of trying to paint. A new microwave is a lot cheaper than risking your health.

Never ever ever paint or put anything else on the inside of a microwave. That metal lining is there for a reason. You will only blow the whole thing up by putting paint of any type inside it. No no no!!! Save up and buy a new or 2nd hand one. Much safer.

No way should you paint the inside of a microwave. Don't even try to fix it if it is broken. Get a new one. The technology is improving with them and the price of a new one is less expensive. Go for it! Get a new one.
