Make a paste of baking soda and vinegar and apply it to the glass and after a day wipe it off with a plastic scrubby. If this did not cure it, reapply you mixture and with a spray bottle rewet your vinegar mixture. Don't give up.

White vinegar....I use it for everything, including final rinse in laundry. Leaves clothes soft, no smell.

Hello Judy; I have hard water, so I know what you are going through.....

What I personally do is this.

I wash my windows well with dawn dishwashing soap and water.

I towel dry them with a clean old cotton tee shirt.

I then use white vinegar and I use an old cotton tee shirt I get the shirt wet, and I wipe the windows until they sparkle!!!

I hope that this helps you!!! Take Care!

Try using denatured alcohol. You can get it at any of the big box or local hardware stores.
