This is a Pinterest Inspired Craft fr the Hometalk/Michaels Pinterest Party this Sunday, 2/16.
A pretty and personal piece of art to display anywhere in your home...and this would make a great gift too!
Am 11 x 14 burlap Canvas, wood letter, crap book paper, scissors, decoupage, and decorative accessories are the supplies for this art.
Trace you letter onto the paper and cut it out.
Apply decoupage to the letter, apply paper, smooth air bubbles out, apply another layer of decoupage. Trim paper if necessary. Let dry.
Distress Paint and Distress Ink made "painting" this project easy.
Once the letter is dry, trim paper if necessary or rub sandpaper around the edges (for a distressed look) finish it by rubbing distress ink all around the letter.
Position your letter (depending on the letter you may have to play with the placement). Place you painted doilies and adhere them with glue. Let dry.
Layering the wood doilies adds interest.
Pretty details topped off with buttons.
I love the look of this simple canvas...full of personality.
