Cousin Itt
If I had a dollar for every time Greg wanted to change his facial hair style, I would be richer than Bill Gates! This man just loves playing with his face. One month you’ll see him like this…
…and the next month he’ll be like this…
…and then a month after he’ll be like this!
Ooops – I must have mixed-up the pictures. Hahaha :-D. No, the squirrel on his face didn’t grow that far yet – and thank god it didn’t! LOL.
If you ever watched The Addams Family, you may recognize the one in the last picture: Cousin Itt – or should I say, our version of it (no pun intended :-D). I used to watch The Addams Family when I was a teen, and I really loved that TV show. Hence, at the beginning of this year when Greg had that squirrel camping on his face, he took me right back to Thursday evenings of my teen years. Good old days… anyway… that is why I thought I should make a Cousin Itt as this year’s “Greg-inspired Halloween project.”
Ok, I think I’d better stop yapping, as I am sure you want to know how I made him, right? Cool! Let’s start making our Cousin Itt then.
I started my project by working on the old lamp base I found at the dump. I took the old cables out of it.
Next I spray painted the floor lamp to a lighter color. As I was going to use this lamp base to give height to my Cousin Itt I didn't want it to be visible under the table skirting it was going to carry.
Now we are getting to the real action: creating the main body.

Once I finished creating the main body, I dressed him up and he was ready to go out in public. :-)
Taaa daaa - here is our Cousin Itt!
Isn't he the cutest Halloween prop you've ever seen? I know our Skele-Yap thinks he is cute, because ever since Cousin Itt joined us, Skele-Yap has been all over him, hahaha :-D
They make a great couple I am planning to put this cute couple on our front porch to greet our trick-or-treaters.
If you like our Cousin Itt then you might also like this spooky floating potion bottle I made last week.
Pretty cool, right?

My floating potion bottle not only spooky, but is a great conversation piece for all ages ;-)

Love cousin Itt. Very cool! Don't get on Greg's case. I do the same with my facial hair. One week I'll have a beard well trimmed. Next week I get tired of it and shave it off. Sometimes I'll leave the sideburns down to my jowls like in the 70's. Other times even with the top of my ears. My mustache has been with me since I was 15 so that stays.

I so admire your work, checked out many of your projects and all I can say is how very impressed I am at your many creations. I used your "free" labels for the light bulb challenge and gave you a shout out. You and hubby are both terrific writers and contributors. Thank you for being there and sharing.
