Put them in a large glass or other deep container of water. If they float, pitch them.

Eggs in stores can be two weeks old by the time you get them.There is the float test. Put the egg in a bowl of water. Fresh eggs lie on the bottom. If they tilt upwards they are older but useable. If they float throw them away
