You could get some light weight polystyrene moulding and use glue or double-sided foam tape to stick it to the mirror. Its paintable and is impervious to water. http://www.homedepot.com/p/American-Pro-Decor-WM-376-2-1-4-in-x-5-8-in-x-96-in-Recycled-Polystyrene-Casing-Moulding-5APD10728/207038934
They might be able to miter the edges of the molding at HD or Lowe's if you explain what you want to do and have your mirror's measurements when you go.
They also have neat stick-on tiles, that would totally work too. They're at home improvement stores, in the section for back splashes.
You can surely use stick-ons, paint, washi tape, wood modling, rope, even pre-made frames made for this purpose: https://www.mirrormate.com/?utm_source=bing&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=Residential&utm_term=mirror%20frame&utm_content=Mirror%20Frame Good luck!
