What finish should I apply to Hickory for outdoor use?
Has anyone used hickory for an outdoor project? If so what kind of finish did you apply to it?
Your question was cut off in the middle...but if you need to use sandpaper....just remember, the finer the grain, the less wood and finish it will remove when you use it. If you only have light scratches you need to remove, use a light or medium grade sandpaper. If you use a medium grade, you can follow behind with a fine grain to finish smoothing it out completely.
