"the MOUNTAINS Are Calling" Sign Using Repurpoed Door
I have long been a fan of John Muir and his simple eloquence telling us the reasons we need our OUTDOORS. So I finally decided to use this old cupboard door out of my stash and some of @decoarts new AMERICANA chalky finish paints to recreate his most famous saying "the Mountains are calling and I MUST go!"

Here is the old cupboard door I used to create my sign.
Using the americana "cameo" color I painted my base color and let it dry.
after the first coat I went over with a thin coat of "new Life" being sure not to totally cover the red
after the paint was dry I used the new "cream wax" it went on like butter and dried fast.
I used my silhouette cameo to cut out my QUOTE and laid it on my board
I used deco arts "lace" to stencil on my quote.
I love my new sign....and so true as we plan our mountain vacation for this summer.
