Most of the time I just dust them but if they are really dirty, you can wipe them with a warm damp cloth.

I wipe down with rubbing alcohol.

If I come across any that are really dusty, I just wash them in the dishwater, NOT the dishwasher! Then I buff them a little with a soft cloth when they are almost dry so they shine. 😇
A little dab of Thieves on a paper towel will do the job without chemicals or soap.
Wet a cloth with paraffin and wipe the candle
I just did this with a thick candle that had been outside. I held it under running water and used the rough side of a sponge that I had rubbed bar soap (Zote) on. It is fine.
