Go to your local hardware store and get krylon spray paint textured paint and it looks kind a look like stone or any color you want. I did it on my ceramic tile backer board in my kitchen and I love it.
If they are in good condition, you can sand lightly & use a paint product just for this situation (Lowe’s, Home Depot). You can either regroup or paint the grout. There are videos on YOUTUBE to help you out.
