Want a quick and easy project to add a little more pretty to your kitchen? Try turning a Mason Jar into a foaming soap dispenser??
The finished product...
My friend had given me this adorable mason jar {turned into a drinking cup} for Christmas but I quickly thought of another use for it. I 'borrowed' the top part from a plastic foaming soap dispenser and cut the whole in the mason jar lid large enough to accommodate it properly... and voila!
We used a drill press to create our opening, but you could also measure the size, draw a circle, and then use a regular drill to drill holes all the way around the edge of the circle (keeping to the inside of the line) until the opening is created.
I made my own foaming hand soap too, using some dish soap (see how they match!!).... more details on the blog.
Enjoyed the project?

Liliana Wells on Apr 16, 2014I am going to ask my husband to drill me a hole in the top of the mason jar. He has a "step drill". It looks like a cone end allows you to drill small holes and as it gets wider, it makes bigger holes. It's very easy to use as it fits into a drill motor. We use to punch holes in plastic containers for drainage when using them for plants.
