Vintage Camper Remodel - With Tips You Can Use in Your Home!

I needed a "project" and this vintage 1976 Apache Mesa camper seemed like just the thing. With new curtains, upholstery, and decorative details, it's like a brand new camper...sort of.
This camper needed some TLC!
First, I used shower curtains to re-cover the cushions. I used the curtain-ring holes in the top of the curtains as button holes, so the covers would be removable and washable.
New curtains, on sale from Lowe's, just needed to be hemmed and attached to the existing tabs.
I used removable contact paper to cover that ugly orange border around the top of the camper.
It's surprisingly easy to work with contact paper.
The floor was in good shape, just needed a little updating.
I cut an outdoor carpet to size and just laid it over the existing floor. It can be easily removed to clean (important in a camper!).
Enjoyed the project?

It's beautiful and I LOVE the colour of blue you used! It really did give the trailer a new updated look, good job! It gives me hope to be able to redo an older trailer that we're looking to get, but the interior looks so old that we were saying "No way are we buying that!" So thank you for your ideas it really gives me hope!

Please explain to me how you made the covers with shower curtains for cushions in your RV.
Thanks Dianne
Can you provide the steps to making the seat covers out of a shower curtain? I can be pretty handy as long as I have the steps to follow. It was a genius idea.
