PB-Inspired IKEA Doormat Makeover
Recently I visited IKEA and was overwhelmed by the vastness of fabulous products that had great makeover potential. One such product was the SINDAL doormat. Having seen a Pottery Barn welcome mat that I loved, I knew I could use it as inspiration to revamp the IKEA rug. With spray paint and a stencil created with my Silhouette, I was able to create my own version of the rug that cost TEN TIMES less than the Pottery Barn inspiration piece.
A plain, inexpensive doormat can be made magazine-worthy with the addition of a spray painted border and stenciled greeting.
The IKEA SINDAL doormat is a great base for a customized welcome mat, and it only costs $4.99!
The spray painted border and stenciled greeting make this IKEA rug look like its Pottery Barn inspiration. And since the DIY rug costs TEN TIMES less than the Pottery Barn one, it's much better on your budget!
