The Giant Octopus Wall

My son wanted an ocean room and requested a giant octopus mural.
So I went for it!
It is only paint after all, we can always cover it later.
But for now it is the center of his nautical inspired bedroom.

The Octopus measures 15' long, 4' tall. It was completely free handed.
His entire room was planned around this boat he loves.
Grandma made this quilt piece by piece and we love its swirly pattern.
Salvaged and vintage pieces give the space a little more grown up feel.
100 year old bed frame with a little bit of homemade flare!

Nice!! Where did you begin to draw this octopus? Did you start with the head and just flow with it?
I thought it was gonna be a painting tutorial! Oh well. Nice job, love the blue colors fading. One thing, what is going on with the octopus head? I don't get it!
