DIY Ceiling Fan Redo

I love to recycle! My most recent project includes recycling. We are doing some changes to our home and recently changed some of the lighting in our kitchen to track lighting in an attempt to get more light. (as one ages, one seems to need more light ) The ceiling fan light in our kitchen was white, pretty boring and simple. It had no real style. It also seemed out of place with the newly installed track lighting.
I replaced the fan globe with a discarded floor fan cage after painting the ceiling fan and cage a black for a more "industrial" look.
