My Cottage Style Front Walk

A Spring Tour of my Country, Cottage Style Front Gardens!
Welcome to my Southern Indiana Garden!

My name is Brooke Kroeger and my blog is Creative Country Mom's Garden.
We have a farmhouse style home way out in the country on a 50 acre lake.
Our property is a little over 6 acres and I garden over an acre around the house.
Today I am sharing the Cottage Style front walkway.
I love a messy, full... almost wild lush garden.
It is so full I have very little weeds (most years) and almost always something in bloom.
I love to add texture and different heights.
But I am in love with color... and it is all about the blooms!
The roses are almost open and soon this will be filled with bright pink.
But until then the iris, peonies and nepeta are the lovely blooms
White yarrow is my filler... it can take over, but I like its lush ground cover attributes.
More Japanese irises in blues and whites as you come up the walkway.
They are called Wings over Water for their floating habits... I love that description. It can be very wet in this area, but they love the moisture.
This area gets more shade so I have hostas, ferns and hydrangeas.
My new Snow in the Summer Viburnum is barely blooming.. but soon it will fill this area like a small tree. It will repeat bloom in sweet little white clusters.

Thanks so much for visiting and please visit my site for more of my home, garden and decor shares!
