Updating a Brass Medicine Cabinet

I wanted to update my brass framed mirrored medicine cabinet, but I didn't want to replace it, or even remove it from the wall.
To give it a finish that matched the rest of the fixtures in the bathroom (which had been updated from brass to chrome) I decided to try using a Metallic Finish Chrome spray paint. Although I was skeptical at first, I couldn't be more pleased with the result.
Not only that, but it has been THREE YEARS since I sprayed the door and it has held up wonderfully, even after heavy usage and constant cleaning with window cleaner. It is definitely an affordable option for updating a brass cabinet without replacing it.

I just taped off the mirror and surrounding walls in order to contain the mess of spray painting the cabinet in place.
After spray painting. (It was nearly as messy as I expected)
