Painting a Mirror???

(IC: homeowner)
I had purchased this buffet for $25 at a yard sale. The mirror was really worn and the previous owner had already started sanding the top. Wasn't sure what to do with it. I have been wanting to swap out my small kitchen hutch with something that would hold my breadmaker, kitchen aide, beater, and blender; stuff I use a lot but don't want on my counters. As far as the mirror went, it either had to go or I had to come up with something different. I decided to take a chance and paint it. I'm so glad I did.
I removed the two doors and and bottom drawer; added some trim and painted and stained. It seemed a little too open so I decided to make a curtain for the closure. This way, I can get all of my items off my counter and out of drawers and have very easy access to them. I added some different drawer pulls and painted and stenciled the mirror. Sometimes you just have to go with your gut instinct. I love it.
