Sometimes a little out of the box thinking can be fun!
I wanted a focal point for a renovation project we did as a surprise for my parents. Starting with an antique mantel we added a beadboard back, wood slats and paint to create a magazine rack.
It was a simple but effective repurpose project.
We were pleased with the results. I would love to know if you like it!

This is the finished piece.

installing the mantel and beadboard...
the wood slats hold the magazines.
Finished!
Now my parents have a nice piece to put their t.v. on that adds character to the room. We also added a corbel shelf to distract from the t.v.
Enjoyed the project?
