I created a layered photo frame mantel early in Spring. I loved it. Normally I change my mantel decor at least once every season, but I liked my black and white gallery mantel so much I couldn't part with it just yet. So instead I spruced it up for summer by adding color and beach accessories. And now my mantel is all ready for summer and I can enjoy my sentimental gallery full of happy memories a bit longer.
Small frames are hung with twine to get a layered effect.
Shells and sea stars are glued to the frames or hung with twine to add a bit of summer vibe.
This mantel used to be all black and white but the new sea images add a beautiful summer blue to the color theme.
Simple sea stars have been died blue with the help of some fabric dye.
Enjoyed the project?
