My closet was a hot mess, particularly the way I stored my shoes, so I spent $3 and worked for 2 hours and now things are approximately 700% better.
Updated to add: This is just the bottom corner of my closet, all the clothes are hanging right above this.

Using scrap wood, I made 2 ledges for my shoes and 3 built in shelves along the wasted space in the back of my closet.

Algarita Quick on Aug 26, 2016This is similar to my daughters closet. Except where the shelves are located, she has a rod with several dresses. I love this idea and others on hometalk. For instance, I would be able to place a clothes basket or a tote for outgrown clothing under the dresses and "Use cabinet knobs to store shoes on the wall" for the back wall. Thank You for such wonderful ideas.
