DIY Solar Lamps
by

I needed some nice lighting on my patio, but have no outside outlets. After 3 years in our house, I finally figured out a cost effective solution!
I bought broken brass lamps at the thrift store for $ each. I sprayed them generously with waterproof spraypaint to ensure they last for a while.
Then I went to Lowe's and bought 4 different types of solar pathway lights. I wasn't sure which ones would fit and look the best until I had the chance to try them out at home. Luckily my favorites fit and I just returned the extras.
I used epoxy to adhere the solar lights to the lamp base and stacked heavy books on top to get a good solid hold.
