A customer was looking for a dresser/changing table. After looking for a couple of days we found this beat-up dresser. Beautiful solid wood and some broken drawers. So we came up with a plan to box in a shelf in the center. A lot of work. It saved a beautiful dresser and gave it new life!
Before. Was so excited to get started!
Sanded the top and cut out the middle support for the drawers.
Fixed the drawers with bondo.
We enclosed the middle section with plywood and stained the top a dark walnut. Painted the first coat of paint with CeCe Caldwell's Santa Fe Turquoise. I seriously love this color! Sealed the first coat with CeCe Caldwell's Satin finish.
We next painted with the CeCe Caldwell's Nantucket Spray and sealed with the Endurance Finish. Painted the hardware with the Carolina Sun Yellow.
With the so easy technique of wet distressing of CeCe Caldwell's Paints I was able to let the turquoise show thru. My customer absolutely fell in love with the dresser and took it home to finalize her nursery.
