July 4th Ambiance in the Indoor Garden

Mr. Moon-In-The-Man, pictured here (in the first image of this post, standing in the succulent garden that I have in my kitchen) is happy to have guests visit him on this rainy, hurricane Arthur threatened Fourth of July.
He is welcoming Ma Liberty and her daughter, who are flanking him in this image. Or should I say they are welcoming him, for they were guests here during 2013's Fourth of July, and you may recognize their faces from a post I wrote about them at that time. (The aforementioned entry can be found on HT @ http://www.hometalk.com/diy/grow/succulents/fourth-of-july-in-my-succulent-indoor-garden-1723486.)

Mr. Moon-In-The-Man has been featured in a number of my HT posts since his arrival to my succulent garden in the fall of 2013 when he came here to become an emcee (a fact you might recall from an entry @ http://www.hometalk.com/diy/halloween-decor-indoors-mostly-2412379.)

Ma Liberty and her daughter are not the only patriots visiting my succulent garden on this Fourth of July. Uncle Sam also stopped by — not to collect taxes — but to dance!

Part of the dancing Sam's facial profile can be seen in the mirror behind Mr. Moon-In-The-Man and his visitors, but a full picture of Uncle Sam a dancin' can be seen below.
This is not the first time an Uncle Sam has visited my garden; last year his identical sibling visited me and played the drums! (He has come again this year and can be seen in the picture below).
You may recognize Sam playing the drums from last year's HT July 4th post, but he was also featured on Blogger in a post about the Half-Year @ http://www.thelastleafgardener.com/2013/07/happy-12-year-from-uncle-sam-me.html.

I hadn't realized Sam had so many brothers that looked like him, but not only does dancing Sam have a sibling who plays the drums, but he has another brother who rides a scooter as well as another brother who also likes to dance a jig. They can be seen in the following photo-ops.
It's nice to have their whimsical faces to cheer me up, for I have been going through a rough time (ever since my last entry this past June here on HT), a time someone referred to tritely (but most sincerely) as "a perfect storm."

I'll spare you the details of my grueling circumstances.

Instead — in the hopes of bringing a smile to your face — dear reader, I'll post a few more images of the other guests that are spending the Fourth of July in my home.

The first three images (below) are repeat-guests, meaning they were here last year, and enjoyed themselves so much they have returned to my home.
The other guests (seen in the images below) are spending their first Fourth of July in New York City.

They include a pair of melon-head fraternal twins, a wayward sailor, a flag waving farmer, and an expat from France.
I am sorry the weather is so awful for them on their first visit to New York City, and I'm also sorry that they will have to listen to coverage of the Macy's Fireworks on the radio instead of seeing photo-ops of them taken by yours truly, for I will not be going this year!

As I said on FB* this morning:

"Today, July 4th, is Independence Day in the United States, and across the country many festivities will take place. A number of them will involve displays of fireworks.

"Macy's sponsors NYC's firework extravaganza and this year will be their 35th year.

"The 7-4-14 event will take place on Manhattan's Eastside this year, where, for the first time since 2009, The Macy's Firework Show returns, after having a stint on Manhattan's Westside from 2010-2013.

"In bygone years I have written about seeing the firework show from the vantage point of the Hudson River (which is on the Westside near to where I live).

"Even though I have attended the fireworks display a number of times when it was on the Eastside, I do not plan to go this year."

But I also mentioned on FB that I won't miss any sort of fireworks entirely, for the Firework People have returned this year and four of the eight can be seen below.
In any event, that's the news on my Fourth of July. What will you be doing, dear reader?

[BTW, I hope (now that my crisis is mostly resolved) to get back to my preferred HT content that deals with my garden as well as the antics of my visiting birds.]
